The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians

Chapter 4

¹ Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, for you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 1)

Oh, employers of all nations rich and poor, I pray that You pay heed to this scripture. In this world, many injustices are taking place especially when it comes to employing migrants and asylum seekers. Employees need not negotiate their wages, with their bosses but are to be given what is due to them according to the law. Amen, for as much as we are Employees are subject to our Bosses, they are directly subject to You my God and Father Amen.

² Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 2)

Oh God my sacred Father, I thank You for giving me these guidelines on how my prayers are to be, they are to be constant and based on Thanksgiving. Every day of my life I am to thank You for all the blessings and miracles that You have done throughout every day of my life Amen.

³ At the same time pray for us as well that God will open to us a door for the word, that we may declare the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison, ⁴ so that I may reveal it clearly, as I should.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 3 and 4)

Oh God my Father, I pray that You send me more opportunities where I can spread Your Word both online and offline, I pray that You send me more followers both from Twitter, G+ and even facebooks and other social networks Amen. I also pray that You make me stronger in Spirit, so that I can overcome this body and its desires which is the prison of the soul Amen.

⁵ Conduct yourselves wisely towards outsiders, making the most of the time. ⁶ Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 5 to 6)

As You said, my God and Father, we are to be very careful in what we say, how we say, and what we mean by what we say, for without knowing by means of what we say or what we do we might give a bad example to others. Therefore we are to train ourselves in scripture, and understanding so that we will be trained to be spiritual and understanding in our ways in our interactions with others Amen.

⁷ Tychicus will tell you all the news about me; he is a beloved brother, a faithful minister, and a fellow servant in the Lord.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 7)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I thank You for the many people that You have sent me in my life, who shared with me their experience of You in their life and in doing so helped to boost my faith in You. I thank You for such people, my God and Father Amen.

⁸ I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts; ⁹ he is coming with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 8 to 9)

Oh God, my blessed Father, I thank You for sending such holy people in my life. By their presence, I feel uplifted and empowered Amen.

¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, as does Mark the cousin of Barnabas, concerning whom you have received instructions-if he comes to you welcome him.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 10)

My friends, brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, I also greet you all, for we are one big loving family that is growing all the time. As in these times, we are to continue welcoming each other and praying for each other's spiritual and social well-being.

¹¹ And Jesus who is called Justus greets you. These are the only ones of the circumcision among my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 11)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I thank You for all my friends for all the angels that You have sent in my way. Together we are circumcised in the Holy Spirit and we are brothers and sisters. My friends have also been a comfort to me. I thank You for such kind and understanding people Amen.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you. He is always wrestling in his prayers on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in everything that God wills.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 12)

Oh God my beloved and only Father may we also wrestle in intercession on other's behalf and even on our own, may we cast our burdens on to You and give them all to You and pray with an honest feeling of surrender "May Your Will be done!" I cease to worry about this relationship or financial crisis, marriage trouble or anything that may arise. Jesus this issue is for You may Your will be done and not mine Amen.

¹³ For I testify for him that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis. ¹⁴ Luke, the blessed physician, and Demas greet you.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 13 to 14)

All the apostles and saints bless this time of prayer and sharing, for this is a continuation of what was sowed in their spirits. The Word of God, which I am meditating on and sharing with all who desire to listen to His Word. I am sharing all that God is sharing with me, in both heart mind and spirit. Amen.

¹⁵ Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea and to Nympha and the church in her house.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verse 15)

May the Word of God spread throughout the entire world, may this blog and those of others reach the end of the world so that nobody can say that he or she have never heard of the name of God and his loving faith and works for us Amen.

¹⁶ And when this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you read also the letter from Laodicea. ¹⁷ And say to Archippus, "See that you complete the task that you have received in the Lord."

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God my blessed Father, I repeat in the words of St. Paul to the Colossians not to take this reflection lightly but to make note of the Word of God for that is what is important, and base Your life, Your Will on that of God.

¹⁸ I Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 4 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God my Father, brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ like the Apostle Paul whom I aim to imitate in faith and in righteousness I also sign this meditation of this Letter to the Colossians. I would also leave as my Signature the following prayer.

May Your will be fulfilled in us my God and Father, may we be instruments in Your hands at Your disposal to be of help and support to others. May we be conduit that You may pass through us in order to reach others. May we be channels of Your love. In any situation, no matter how difficult it is may we offer it to God and in faith pray the following prayer:

Oh God, I did what I could do in my situation, however 'May Your Will be done' Amen.

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians

Chapter 3

¹ So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. ² Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, ³ for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 1 to 3)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I wish to keep my focus on You and all that has to do with You and not on what has to do with the world. This is why I have become estranged to the world of politics and other worldly pleasures. My only ties are my prayer time, my family, my work, and my online relaxation by means of games that are a means of helping me to relax and defuse the negative stress in me. Amen.

⁴ When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verse 4)

Oh Jesus Christ  Son of God and God in Yourself, Yours indeed is the glory above all glory, however as a human, I am still weak and prone to sin, however, it is only by Your grace love and will that I can ever experience Your glory Amen. Blessed be that day oh God my Father. Blessed be that day.

⁵ Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly; fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry).

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verse 5)

Oh God my Father, achieving self-control is a gift given by You, and not obtained by the means of the world, even though there are many ways and techniques that can be practiced. You have given people such as St. Francis of Assisi the power of overcoming the physical passions and cravings of the body to the extreme that he became sick and died. However, his physical death gave birth to a spiritual birth that is still present today in those who believe in You as St Francis did. Moreover You Yourself told us not to worry about what we are going to eat or drink and focus on our spiritual lives and You will help us in the material life Amen.

⁶ On account of these the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient, ⁷ These are the ways you also once followed, when you were living that life. ⁸ But now you must get rid of all such things-anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive language from your mouth. ⁹ Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices ¹⁰ and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 6 to 10)

Oh God my beloved Father, I am also guilty of such sins, many times I have disobeyed Your will by committing such sins. Even though I confessed my sins, again in Your presence today I beg for Your mercy and forgiveness, for although the spirit is motivated the flesh is still weak Amen.

¹¹ In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all!

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verse 11)

Oh God, my Father, I thank You for offering salvation to all without any form of discrimination as exists on earth. I thank You for Your love and mercy for all Amen.

¹² As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verse 12)

Oh God my Father it is only by means of Your grace and mercy, that I can move out of my natural self and put on my spiritual self, for as a sinner I have the will to do so but not the strength Amen, for sin is like a magnet that keeps on attracting me to disobey Your will Ame.

¹³ He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, ¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 13 to 14)

Oh God, my Father I thank You for not having left me in the darkness of the evil one. I thank You for saving me and protecting me for all these years. If I am to return to my previous state of sinful life, it would be my responsibility and I would be worthy of the penalty for my sins Amen.

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 15)

Oh God, my Father, let this prayer be my prayer forever and ever. May I always be thankful and grateful to You for all that You have done for me, especially for making me part of Your body on earth Amen.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms; hymns, and spiritual songs to God. ¹⁷ And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through him.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God my beloved Father, when I do something in Your name it becomes blessed because it has become an offering to You, regardless if it is before driving my car or arriving at work I am always to give thanks to You for all, for You are my All in all Amen.

¹⁸ Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. ¹⁹ Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 18 to 19)

Oh God, my Father I pray that wives be humble and subject to their husbands, however the husbands, in turn, are to be humble towards their family and not be dominant and abusive. I pray that couples are to be equal in the leadership of the family and united in both love and faith. Prayer and dialogue are to be the foundation stones of all families. Even though my nuclear family has almost reached its end due to the fact that we are in the process of separation, I still believe in the possibility of marriage and of unity among the members of the family Amen.

²⁰ Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is your acceptable duty in the Lord.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 20)

Oh God, my blessed Father, even though I am 46 years old, I am still obedient to my mother, for she is a pillar of faith and a fountain of wisdom. I realize how much You speak to me by means of her and what great consolation I find in You by means of her Amen. Thank You, Jesus, for giving me such a mother Amen and for reaching me by means of her Amen.

²¹ Fathers, do not provoke your children, or they may lose heart.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 21)

Oh God, my beloved Father, in this area as a Father, I might have erred. When considering that after school my daughter would go home and have her way with her mother, when I arrived home, I would try and correct such issues such as swinging on a chair instead of sitting on it and other petty issues that the mother was to have already raised the awareness of. As a consequence, my daughter does not want to have a relationship with me and has totally sided with her mother with whom she is now living since we have separated. I pray for forgiveness my God and Father if I overdid it Amen.

²² Slaves obey your earthly masters in everything, not only while being watched and in order to please them, but wholeheartedly fearing the Lord. ²³ Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, ²⁴ since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. ²⁵ For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong has been done. and there is no partiality.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 22 to 25)

Oh God, my beloved Father, as much as we have rights we also have duties that we must obey. I pray that in everything that I do I do for You and not only for my earthly masters Amen.

I, therefore, would like to end this third chapter of the letter of St. Paul to the Colossians with the following prayer:

As humans my God and Father, we tend to want to do things according to our ways and not according to Your ways, however, if we placed You in the center of our lives, life would be more positive and meaningful. I pray that You be the first second and even the third aim of my life Amen.

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians

Chapter 2

¹.  For I want you to know how much I am struggling for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for all who have not seen me face to face.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verse 1)

Oh God in my prayers I am also struggling in prayer for others for as a sinner I know what it is like to be a sinner and the difficulty one experiences as a sinner. Therefore I pray on behalf of all of us Amen.

². I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself, ³. in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 2 to 3)

Oh God, my Father, I pray for unity in the world, for although we are totally different from each other, we are still united as one brotherhood with You as our Father, even though not all of us acknowledge You as their God and Father, Thank You. Jesus.

⁴. I am saying this so that no one may deceive you with plausible arguments . ⁵ For though I am absent in body, yet I a am with you in spirit, and I rejoice to see your morale and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 4 to 5)

Oh God, my Father, I thank You for giving me the teachings of the 'Good News' and all that is written in the Bible, for it greatly helps me in my spiritual life and even in my relations with others. Amen. I pray that You continue to strengthen me in both Spirit, body and mind Amen.

⁶ As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, ⁷ rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 6 to 7)

Oh God my Father, our faith in You can be compared to a seed, that has to pass through many stages until it grows up to become a plant or tree. Therefore we can never stop receiving You or abstain from hearing about You as in the case of children who stop going for lessons after they have been through the process of confirmation. As adults oh God my Father, it is more important for us to seek a healthy relationship with You, for each day of my life my aim is to be reunited with You in Heaven Amen. I thank You, my God and Father, for each second of my life Amen.

⁸ See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ. ⁹ For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, ¹⁰ and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 8 to 10)

Oh God, I am sorry to say that many are being led astray by a philosophy of this world, that places the human being in the centre and giving humans full control over their lives, or that is what they are led to believe by means of rational thinking and logic. However, this is an illusion for You are in control of everything that happens in our lives and only in You can we ever experience our fulfilment. Amen.

¹¹ In him also you were circumcised with a spiritual circumcision, by putting off the body of the flesh in the circumcision of Christ; ¹² when you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of  God, who raised him from the dead.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 11 to 12)

Oh God my Father as babies, we were baptised with water and the Holy Spirit at the time of our baptism, as adults we were baptised for the second time by the power of the Holy Spirit who is still with us as You promised us. At the time of our physical baptism, You cleansed us from the stain of original, sin, however on the cross by means of Your passion, You again cleansed us of all our past present and future sins by means of Your own precious blood Amen. Thank You for loving us so much my God and Father Amen.

¹³  And when you were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with him, when he forgave us all our trespasses, ¹⁴ erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands. He set this aside, nailing it to the cross.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 13 to 14)

Oh God, my Father I thank You for nailing my sins on the cross, for taking on Yourself such a harsh passion for my sake because. You really and truly love me. Amen. Although as a human and from the eyes of a human my cross appears to be hard to carry, I thank You for Your love and support Amen.

¹⁵ He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verse 15)

Oh God my Father, You made a spectacle of the Mighty Roman Empire by rising from the dead the penalty set for You and moreover by withstanding the torture of the horrible methods of torture as in whipping and crucifixion which the Romans were famous for applying. You made fools out of authorities such as King Herod and Pontius Pilate who although had the authority to crucify You could not find fault in You. You were legally found as being not guilty, however the fear, of a social uprising became stronger than human reasoning. Oh God, without using violence You stripped the enemy and proved the evil spirits as being losers. Amen. This is fighting without actually fighting. This is to be our means of fighting Amen, for You are our fighter our champion Amen.

¹⁶ Therfore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths.  ¹⁷ These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God indeed we are not to condemn in each other for not fasting or observing other practices, even though this may be inappropriate, what is the most important is our relationship with You and others Amen.

¹⁸ Do not let anyone disqualify you, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, dwelling on visions, puffed up without cause by a human way of thinking, ¹⁹ and not holding fast to the head from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its ligaments and sinews, growth with a growth that is from God.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 18 to 19)

Oh God my Father I thank You for this good piece of advice. Apart from our soul, if there is anything of value to us is our self-esteem. This is something that we are to allow nobody to harm, especially due to reasons such as our belief. In truth because I share my prayers with others by means of this blog I have been heavily criticised by those of my inner circles when I do mistakes such as being angry and saying things that I would apologise for having said or done. The reaction used against me is this blog and that I am to inform all about the things on which I was unjustly accused. I pray that I remain humble and accept criticism only from people who are objective and have spiritual values Amen.

²⁰ If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the universe, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations, ²¹ "Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch"? ²² All these regulations refer to things that perish with use; they are simply human commands and teachings. ²³These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-imposed piety, humility, and severe treatment of the body, but they are of no value in checking self-indulgence."

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 verses 20 to 23)

Oh God my beloved Father we are conditioned by many rules that control us for our own good and for the well-being of society. Rules such as the speed limit, alcohol consumption and many more. However if we based our life on pleasing and loving You we would never have any negative intentions of abusing the speed limit, because the law would be engraved in our hearts as an action that is not out of love, and therefore not according to Your will apart from the fact that it can also be of harm to others, on the other hand, if we apply the rule of love as in the Bible to ourselves we would not over speed or abuse the level of alcohol intake or abuse substances such as drugs, because this is not an act of love towards our well being. Therefore if we had to live a life according to Your Word, we would be grounded in self-control and we would not need other rules to condition and control our behaviour. Amen.

Oh God my Father, I would like to end the second chapter of St. Paul's letter to the Colossians with the following prayer;-

Oh God my beloved Father every day of my life I am faced with the constant challenge of obedience. I find myself in situations where I am to choose, If I am to obey You absolute love and kindness or the ways of the world which are at times self-centered and egotistic. My second greatest challenge is that of achieving self-control. I pray that You help me in overcoming my natural self in order to be more like You and constantly live according to Your will Amen.

The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1

The Letter of St. Paul

to the

Colossians

Chapter

1

1. Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, 2. To the saints and faithful brothers and sisters in Christ in Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

(The Letter of Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 1 to 2)

Oh God, my Father how nice it would be if when giving a description of ourselves we include along with our list of credentials that, we are believers in Jesus Christ the Son of God who was offered as an offering for our redemption! Amen

3. In our prayers for you we always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 4. for we have heard your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, 5. because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. You have heard of this hope before in the word of the truth, the gospel 6. that has come to you. Just as it is bearing fruit and growing in the whole world, so it has been bearing fruit among yourselves from the day you heard it and truly comprehended the grace of God.

(The Letter of the Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 3 to 6)

Oh God my Father, that we may offer our prayers on behalf of other Christians so that we be united in the spirit of the Gospel as one family. May we also be fertile ground for Your Word of grace so that it will shed firm roots in us and continue to grow and bear the good fruit of the Holy Spirit in us Amen.

7. This you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf, 8. and he has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

(The Letter of Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 7 to 8)

Oh God, my Father I thank You for the many people that You have sent to guide, inspire and teach me to love You more and grow in my relationship with You. Among the many people or and ministers I would like to refer to Joyce Meyer, whom You have reached me by means of this person especially during this week, where You showed me the need to give and donate more to others. Amen

9. For this reason, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased praying for you asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10. so that you may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God. 11. May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, and may you be prepared to endure everything with patience, while joyfully 12. giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 9 to 12)

Oh God, my Father what a beautiful blessing. It is so powerful that it is worthy of being printed on all wedding or birthday cards or even anniversary cards, for it is extraordinarily rich in content and meaning Amen. May we all bless each other with such a blessing Amen.

13. He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 13 to 14)

Oh God my Father You have saved us from the clutch of the forces of darkness and opened the door of heaven for us, however, we are like a pendulum, and swing from doing good to evil, even though we wish to do good Amen.

15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16. for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers-all things have been created through him and for him. 17. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. 19. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20. and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

(The Letter of St.Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 15 to 20)

Oh God this is our creed in what we believe, that all was created by You and not by means of a process of evolution. When You inspired St.Paul to write this letter to the Colossians and when formulating the Creed that we recite and hold as being true it is clear that You primarily through Yourself created all things, Therefore this leaves no space for creation through evolution Amen.

Reflection on God as in the Creed as Master Creator

21. And You who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22. he has now reconciled in his fleshly body through death, so as to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him - 23 provided that you continue securely established and steadfast in the faith, without shifting from the hope promised by the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven. I Paul, became a servant of this gospel.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses 21 to 23)

Oh God my Father, I thank You for saving me from my past, and helping me in my present. Thank You for accepting to be crucified for my sins and for having them in Your flesh to be offered as a living sacrifice for my salvation. I pray that You continue helping me so that my ways will always be according to Your ways, and that with Your help I will bring this assignment to its fulfilment Amen. As in the case of the Apostle Paul, I did not wait for the go ahead of the Roman Catholic Church but proceeded under the permission of the Holy Spirit of God to this very day Amen.

24. I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am completing what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is the church.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verse 24)

Oh God my Father, Your passion was a total offering covering all the sins that were done from the beginning of time to the end of time, therefore there was nothing lacking in it. However, it is nice to include our pains and sufferings with yours not to replace Your pain but to give it to You as an offering of love. Amen. When we accept our tribulations as being according to Your will the pain will decrease compared to if we accept it as a curse from You or as a tragic episode Amen.

25. I became its servant according to God's commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26. the mystery that has been hidden throughout the ages and generations but has now been revealed to his saints. 27. To them God chose to make known how great among the gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses  25  to 27 )

Oh God when sharing Your Word online along with the prayers that You give me and make known to me, together we are continuing the assignment that You gave to the apostles to spread the Word to the ends of the world so that all will have awareness of You and Your love for them and us. Amen.

28. It is he whom we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29. For this I toil and struggle with all the energy that he powerfully inspires within me.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 1 verses  28  to 29 )

Oh God almighty my God and Father, I am happy to be part of this mission of proclaiming the message of the Good News to those who have good will, faith and motivation to accept You as their God and accept Your instruction so that we will continue to grow and become mature in our relationship with You. My God I share the same aim of the apostles although I am not ordained as an apostle, but who is not against You is with You. Amen.

Oh God my Father I would like to end this chapter with the following prayer:

I thank You, my God and Father, for giving me a small portion of the ministry of proclaiming the 'Good News' online as I always had wished to do. I also thank You for being active in my life, even during moments when I do not feel Your presence even though You are always there. I pray for all those who are part of this great big ministry bless them and protect them from the forces of evil both in themselves and even around them.

Thank You, Jesus
